The Laboratory
POCKET FILMS LAB is a learning and creative space designed for those with a story they want to bring to the screen. Through weekly classes, assignments, and personalized support, you'll learn to develop your idea, write your script, prepare every detail of filming, and make creative decisions that will bring your project to life. The goal is for you to go beyond just having an idea: to finish with your own short film, ready to share.
Month 01
Idea & Script
The starting point for your project. By providing you with the necessary tools, you will work on your idea, develop the story, and we will build a script that is ready to go on screen.
Month 02
Pre-Production
We turned the script into a concrete plan. We defined the short film's visual concept, budget, casting, and shooting schedule, and worked on key concepts such as lighting, directing, and sound.
Month 03
Production
It's time to film. We do a live lighting test, explore ideas for the trailer and marketing, and brainstorm ways to promote your project. This is the stage where you bring everything you've worked on to the screen and film your short film.
FAQ
Do I need to have previous experience?
It's not necessary. You can have experience in film or be starting from scratch. The important thing is that you're eager to develop an idea and bring it to the screen. During the LAB, we'll guide you through every stage of the process.
Are the classes online or in person?
The classes are online and weekly, so you can participate from anywhere. We'll have one class and one assignment per week.
Is the editing of the short film included?
No. Editing is an additional service that you can contract separately with our team.
What do I need to film my short film?
You can work with the resources you have available. We'll help you plan your project taking into account your team, budget, and production capabilities.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes. You can choose between paying for all 3 months at once with a small discount or paying in 3 monthly installments.
Do they offer refunds or cancellations?
Registration fees are non-refundable. We want you to have all the information you need before making your purchase, so if you have any questions about the LAB, write to us and we'll answer them before you join.
